HIGH CONTRAST SENSORY BAG

HIGH CONTRAST SENSORY BAG

Tummy time got you down? Add some sensory bags!

I am starting to sound like an infomercial aren’t I? Anyways you know how much I love a good sensory bag. These suckers seriously made tummy time tolerable for us. By making them high contrast, it attracts our babies as they can mostly only see these colors when they are born. This is the perfect sensory bag for babies.

MATERIALS:

  1. Gallon size freezer grade, plastic bag

  2. 2 cups of water per bag

  3. Black and White beads

  4. Black food coloring

  5. White duct tape

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. For the first bag, add 2 cups of water ad the black and white beads

  2. Seal the bag leaving little to no air inside. Tape shut using strong tape.

  3. For the second bag, add 2 cups of water and a few drops of black food coloring to the plastic bag

  4. Seal shut using white tape. Add another three lines of white tape to the bag making a black and white line pattern.

Remember to always supervise your little ones when doing any sort of activity for babies. Place them on a soft but firm surface for tummy time.

To reuse or recycle the sensory bags, you can either empty out the contents and leave to dry since it’s just water or use reusable bags.
