I will be completely honest with you, this was not the intended tutorial I planned to make. I was making a straightforward video on how to make goop (also known as ooblek) and wanted to make it purple. I mixed one drop of blue food coloring with two drops of pink to make purple. When I poured it on the corn starch, the pink and blue separated. At first, I was like, where’s the purple? and then I was like… So freaking cool! Thank god I was filming this, I don’t think you would believe me with just a picture. I mean, I am no magician but this is magic, right?

If you’ve never made goop before, you must try it. It is the coolest substance even without the marbling. It’s hard to penetrate when you touch it fast but touch it slow and you sink right in. So you can grab it quickly, but then it will ooze out of your hand. And IT’S TASTE SAFE!

How To Make Goop

MATERIALS:

1. 1 cup of cornstarch

2. 1/2 cup of water

3. Food Coloring

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Add the cornstarch to a tray

2. Mix the food coloring into the water, and mix two colors in the same cup to get the marble effect.

3. Pour on top of the cornstarch

4. Mix gently. It is a bit hard to mix, move slowly to make it easier.
