MONSTER SHOES DIY FOR A FUN COMPETITION

MONSTER SHOES DIY

This was so fun! The most fun active play activity that drains some toddler energy and is a little healthy competition! You could almost hear me screaming, go go go! I also may or may not have dressed them like this on purpose, could have been a coincidence.

This fun activity can be done inside or outside and will definitely challenge your little ones to practice movement coordination, motor skills and it is for sure actual exercise. I mean try walking, let alone trying to run on these to win! I might make some for myself next, have a whole family competition!

YOU'LL NEED:

  1. Reuse cardboard

  2. Reuse plastic cups

  3. Laces or ribbons

  4. Scissors

  5. Hot glue

  6. Hole puncher

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Trace one of your little ones shoes on the cardboard for size reference.

  2. Draw claws leaving some extra space between the foot and claws.

  3. Cut out the cardboard shape and use a hole puncher and punch 3 or more holes on each side.

  4. Cut a plastic cup and using hot glue gun, glue the bottom half to the front of the monster shoe.

  5. Tie the lace or ribbon to secure your toddler's feet.

  6. For the competition place some trays/bowls across from each other and have your little ones transfer items from one side to the other. Use balls or anything you have that fits inside the plastic cup. And have fun!
