COLOR SORT MOVING WATER

I have no explanation other than it’s magic! The colored water droplets glide around parchment paper perfectly! This can turn into the perfect color match and color mix activity, plus some fine motor skill practice with the toothpick!

Honestly, this toddler activity is as amazing to me as it is to my little ones! I love watching the little drops of colored water slide through the paper. and stick to they toothpick. Imagine our little ones’ surprised faces when they see it in action!

MATERIALS:

  1. Parchment paper

  2. Permanent markers

  3. Tape

  4. Water

  5. Food coloring

  6. Dropper

  7. Toothpick or bamboo stick

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Tape down a piece of parchment paper to the table

  2. Using a permanent markers, draw some buckets or circles of different colors.

  3. Mix a little bit of water with food coloring to create colored water.

  4. Use the dropper to drop some colored water onto the parchment paper.

  5. Use the toothpick to carefully drag the drops to the correct color baskets
