MAKING LEARNING FUN WITH NUMBER STICKS

NUMBER STICKS MATH ACTIVITY FOR TODDLERS

Introducing your little ones to numbers and counting? How about trying this fun combination between crafts and math activity for kids? I love when the little ones learn while playing, without even noticing!

Nicky loves baking balls out of play dough to stick the popsicles sticks in. The vertical sticks make it a but more challenging for younger kids but if you have younger ones, leave out the play dough part and have them add the cloths pins flat on the table instead.

MATERIALS:

  1. Play dough (Check out our homemade play dough recipe)

  2. Popsicle sticks

  3. Permanent markers

  4. Clothes pin

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Number the popsicles sticks.

  2. Roll up a piece of play dough for each stick.

  3. Place the sticks in the center of each play dough in numerical order.

  4. Add the corresponding number of clothespin to each stick.
