HEALTHY FRUIT ROLL UP RECIPE

Any fruit roll up lovers out there? It is that one candy from my childhood that I am still obsessed with. This natural homemade recipe is a healthier alternative to relive it! Same feeling of unrolling with good wholesome ingredients. Can be done with practically any fruit for a variety of flavors! You may follow these same steps but modify quantities and cooking time slightly. It makes for the perfect summer snack or afternoon sweet for kids!

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 2 cups strawberries

  2. 1 tbsp lemon juice

  3. 3 tbsp honey

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the over to 170 degrees F

  2. Wash and prepare the strawberries

  3. Puree the strawberries using a food processor or blender.

  4. Add the pureed strawberries to a non stick pot.

  5. Add the lemon juice and honey. Cook on medium to high heat until it becomes a thick jelly consistency.

  6. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and pour the mixture on top.

  7. Spread evenly into a thin layer.

  8. Bake for 3 hours or until the fruit lather has dried out.

  9. Cool and cut into strips. Roll up like traditional fruit roll ups!

  10. Store in the refrigerator.
