CHIA SEED TASTE SAFE SENSORY BASE RECIPE

This taste safe sensory base recipe was inspired on my friend Anna’s chia seed sensory pond. Using white chia seeds, I was able to to color these slimes really well (With the black ones, the colors looked darker but still really fun to play with!) You don’t have to go all crazy making all the different colors like I did, you know, just trying to show you the endless colorful possibilities! I trust you will let me know when it gets to the point of rainbow rehab, ok?

With this taste safe recipe, you will get a bunch of fun goo with just 1/4 cup of chia seeds. Be advised that this stuff sticks to clothes like nothing else. Take the clothes off those babies and let them explore the tezture all over their bodies without having to worry.

MATERIALS:

  1. 1/4 cup white chia seeds

  2. Food Coloring

  3. 1 3/4 cups of water

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a sealable container mix with chia seeds, food coloring and water.

  2. Seal and refrigerate overnight.

  3. Uncover and it’s ready for play!

Tip: Store in the refrigerator with a little extra water. Should last a few days but remember it is food so it will eventually spoil. Check before using.
