MULTI USE TAPE 4 WAYS

MULTI USE TAPE 4 WAYS

I love to think of new ways to use ordinary household items. We might sometimes think we don't have the necessary materials to make a specific activity, but in reality, we could repurpose so many items we have already at home!

First up, tape! Oh, how I love tape. The possibilities are endless, I just couldn’t include endless possibilities in this 1 minute video. So you’ll probably see a part two multi use tape video in the future. There are so many different types of tape but my must have is painters tape and masking tape.

A few quick and easy set up activities you can make with tape are:

  1. ROAD

Use the tape to create a path and add dashes along the middle of the tape. Add some cars and all of a sudden it’s a fully functioning road.

  2. BOUNDARIES

Make a boarder using the tape. Ask your child to stay inside the square. The thick boarder helps them visualize where they should be. It also helps create nice clean lines when you remove the tape.

  3. PRE-READING SKILLS

Using the tape, make numbers or letters. Set out some loose parts like pom poms and have your child fill the number/letters in.

  4. TRACING (PRE-WRITTING SKILLS)

Kind of goes with number 3 but this will help with pre-writting skills. Make different lines using the tape and have your child trace them using a washable marker.
